Welcome to Volume 11 of The Weekly: Edmonton. This week, we tried something new for date night. We started a four week class with The Whistling Potter (and it was really, really cool). You’ll start off with the basics, from learning how to centre and throw clay on the wheel, and you’ll leave the month-long class having created a dozen items. There are still spaces in the sessions that start THIS WEEK (Tuesday evening, and Wednesday afternoon). It’s a really, really cool way to try something new. Christmas and Holiday Events
The just announced Downtown Winterval will kick off the holiday season with a party on 104st. Live music, lights, beer gardens and more, coming December 1 and 2.
Grindstone Theatre is showcasing Die Harsh: A Christmas Musical. This Die-Hard-Christmas-Carol is about as stupid as it sounds with action packed comedy, tap dancing FBI agents and heartbreaking flashbacks of kids who are coughing too much.
Two accoustic performances, cozy log-cabin vibes with a gorgeous view of the river valley and a custom welcome cocktail to kick off your holiday cheer. This holiday pop-up concert is a must do winter #datenight in Edmonton.
Kick off the holiday season on a weeknight cookie decorating date. Enjoy the downtown vibe at Central Social Hall with a cocktail of your choice and cookie decorating experience for two.
Greenland presents… Lights in the Park ✨Their botanical garden has transformed into a wonderland filled with lights, colour, polar bears and even narwhals! Explore the garden pathways lined with shimmering trees and magical photo spots. Best part is that it is completely free.
Ring in holiday cheer with a cocktail class where you’ll learn to shake up three signature cocktails from a local expert, paired with holiday snacks. The ticket price is for TWO people to attend. You’ll work as a dynamic duo to build the perfect cocktail.
